Hello everyone
Please find the eterna silk conversions to DMC for all the projects in my Colour Confidence In Embroidery book Eterna Silk Conversions for Colour Confidence Book
Please pass this information onto anyone who you know who owns the book, thank you.
Have a wonderful week and will chat to you when get back from the convention. Trish
Dear Trish,
I am admiring your talent a lot. Having just bought your last book, I have discovered that your are using avas soie d’alger silk now. I am wondering whether it would be possible to replace the Eterna silk (referred to in your other books) by avas soie d’alger? Is it possible to find a conversion table somewhere? I would indeed like to use silk where it is advisable… Many thanks in advance. Kind regards, Inna
I am looking for the equivalent DMC thread for the Kingfisher in the Colour Confidence book and can’t find them on the conversion chart. Any idea which I should use. Love the Kingfisher and really want to work it.
Thank you so much. I was begining to think the problem was me (with finding the silk and all). I really really LOVE this book, and now i can brave something a little more tricky like the King Fisher maybe.
On a different note, for any of you out there on the net still looking for Eterna silk, DON”T trus a website called http://www.threadexpress.com . They are useless…
Thanks again though Trish, really love your work!
Where do you get your Eterna Silk? There was a supplier in the US, but she has discontinued it.
Hi Lin. Eterna silk has been discontinued you can see my blog post here: http://trishburr.com/2012/08/17/eterna-silk-discontinued/. Trish
Thank you for the effort involved in converting.
Cynthia
Thank you Cynthia appreciated. Trish
Didn’t the silk have a different sheen to it compared to now having to use DMC?
Thank you for the conversion – I put it on Excel.
Yes the silk is very different but only used for adding fine details such as hairs on a stem so not noticeable. Trish
