Miniature Kits

Hello Everyone

Please note that as of today I have discontinued the backing fabric from the miniature kits and the price has been adjusted accordingly.  Having stitched up several pieces with and without the backing I found it better without – the 200 count cotton muslin is firm enough to support the weight of the stitching and the backing fabric adds an unnecessary bulk to the project.  The kit notes have already been printed and do specify that backing fabric is included but this will be amended when the next lot go to print.  Any problems please do not hesitate to let me know.

Have a wonderful week and weekend. Trish

  3. Your book is on its way to me and I am so very excited! Hope your kit (for the two birds)will be available for a while longer. Might they run out?

  4. Hi Trish, my comment has nothing to do with the above. I just want to congratulate you on your book “Colour Confidence in Embroidery” What a beautiful and comprehensive book. I don’t even want to think about all the hours that went into preparing all the embroidery examples. The last few years I became very passionate about needle painting and it was in one of your news letters you recommended using a magnifying lamp. Previously I used one of these contraptions you put on your head, but I found it very cumbersome. Off course that was without a light too. . Now I can’t even think being without my magnifying lamp. 🙂 This book gives such good information especially to me, as I am self taught and I still need to know so many things.
I had to smile the other day, but it was a smile of great satisfaction and pride. I recently joined a website, “Stitching Fingers” in the capable hands of Mary Corbet. One of the members from the USA asked my advice on embroidery books because she knew South African writers were renowned for the good quality books they published. Indeed we have the best! There are you, Di van Niekerk and Hazel Blomkamp. Each one a master in their field.
Wish you well in the coming year and lots of success.
