I am delighted to let you know that the Lala Land pattern pack is now available in the Embroidery store.
As you know this pattern has been designed for the Fairtrade foundation, if you missed the information on this and the little video about it you can find it here: Delivering Happiness. The full proceeds of the Lala land PDF in the digital store and $15 from the proceeds of the pattern pack in the Embroidery store will be donated on a monthly basis.
The initial response to the PDF pattern was absolutely awesome and we have raised over $500 so far. I promise to let you know exactly what we donate every month in total. You can also find the iron on transfer for this pattern here.
Iron On Transfers
Iron on transfers are a quick and easy way to transfer the outline to fabric without having to trace it, no more wobbly lines! Keep a stash of fabric & needles on hand, purchase a couple of transfers and you can download any PDF pattern from the Digital store at any time, day or night. This means you have an instant embroidery project, ready to start stitching. The good news is that you can now purchase the fabric, needles, transfers and cotton bags direct from the Digital store in one easy checkout.

Alice Sheridan of Pennsylvania, USA, shared some ideas on how she uses her transfers – thank you Alice, so innovative, this is brilliant!
“I use the cardboard from the package to insure the transfer does not bleed through to my ironing surface. And, I use freezer paper to hold the transfer and fabric so it does not shift while ironing. The transfer stays with the freezer paper in the envelope for future use. I love your transfer papers, so much easier for me than trying to trace patterns … hands not so steady now.
Our EGA Region is having an “Opportunity Basket” for the region meeting,. A copy of your book “White Work with Color”, and your transfer papers for that book and material will be among the items in our basket.
I also use the transfer patterns on the reverse side of your cotton project bags, then stitch them with simple stitches. The president, Kathleen Kellar, of our guild chapter wanted to have a bag with “Gatsby” on it, so I did that for her. I love these new bags, I can iron on any of your great designs.”
The cotton project bags are made from good quality cotton muslin with a print on the front but are blank on the back. They are available in the Embroidery store. and Digital Store.
I also use these good quality organza bags for keeping my project threads in, they are sheer so you can see the colours inside and make a great alternative to plastic bags. The planet will thank us!

Thanks Ada glad it was helpful. My daughters are the same I think we need to follow in the footsteps of the younger generation, who are much more environmentally aware? My family watched a movie called Blue Planet 2 with David Attenborough it made me sit up and take note. I believe that the Queen (in England) has banned all plastic in the Palace as a result of this movie.

Love the idea about using the sheer organza bags for threads. Shall pass this idea on. My daughter takes see through fabric bags to the supermarket for her vegetables so no plastic bags for her.
The idea of organza bags for keeping project threads is a lovely one! Much better than plastic baggies. I have been using 5×7 archival photo boxes and sometimes oval wooded boxes to collect threads needed but I am going to look for larger organdy bags.
