Calling Australian Students

Hello everyone in Australia

I am hoping to attend the BATB convention in 2020 – and my proposal is due for submission at the end of April so time is of the essence. I would like some ideas on what you would like to see for a 2 day class project. I have been going backwards and forwards trying to decide between, birds, flowers etc, so decided to put the question to you. Please comment on this blog post with your reply – as time is limited I will only consider replies received in the next 7 days. If you could answer A, B or C (not all 3!) thanks so much for your help.

Question what would you like to see in a Needlepainting class project:

  • (A) Bird
  • (B) Botanical flower
  • (C) Bird & flower

Have a lovely day

Trish

  1. I’d say A, Australian is known for it’s unique wildlife inclding numerous colourful birds.

  2. I am new to your beautiful work. If possible I would attend any class you present. However, I do not know or have been able to find what BABT is in Australia. Please let me know, I do not want to miss an opportunity to see you and your designs.

  3. How wonderful. I hope to attend. My preference would be birds or flowers. How exciting. You are a fantastic instructor…. hugs

  4. C- it’s two days. A or B for one day but given the two day format I feel C is most appropriate. Although your birds are infamous- the timing supports you Kew Garden book.

    Now to arrange my trip

  5. Good Morning Trish, I’m not an Australian, rather I live in Washington DC, but am planning to attend the 2020 BATB. I vote for ‘B’.

    Thanks, Julie Roegge

  6. C – would be my preference Trish. With kind regards – and wishing and hoping I can be in Adelaide in 2020.

  7. C, or B.
I think flower tutorials are a little easier to find so a bird or more complex mixed design would be appreciated.

  8. Trish, I vote for (B): Botanical flower. I can’t be sure that I can be there, but I will certainly do my best. Robyn Wright

  9. B please, especially if it could be an Australian botanical. So great that you are visiting us.Looking forward to seeing the new book.

  10. – Great to hear you are coming to Adelaide. I will definitely go there now. I would like to see a bird or a botanical wreath, but probably not both together as it gets quite complex. Honestly, what ever you do would be wonderful.

  11. Dear Trish

Looking forward to you coming next year and my preference would be a scene with a house, which wasn’t on offer, but second choice would be ‘botanical flower’.

    Regards, Jenni

    1. Thank Jenni, I did consider a landscape but looking back at previous orders it seems birds and flowers are most popular. Will give it some thought….
