Masterclass Woodland Animals

Hello everyone

Hope you are doing well? I am back from vacation it was lovely to be with my girls from overseas. Thank you for your patience, the shop is now open for business as usual.

New Masterclasses

This series of masterclasses offers practical instruction on how to stitch different subjects in Needlepainting Embroidery. Flowers, Birds, Animals, Nature, Landscapes and Portraits in Needlepainting all require a slightly different approach to achieve a lifelike effect, and this is what we will cover in these digital masterclasses. Each masterclass will prove an invaluable source of information to refer back to time and again.

The long awaited Woodland animal masterclasses are now available on my site and can be downloaded as a PDF. In this Woodland Animal series you will learn how to create your own animal portrait from a photo or image, how to trace the outline from the original and how to stitch the different features, eyes, fur etc. You will be shown how to direct your stitches to fit the different elements of an animal. We will also discuss the importance of shading to achieve more depth in your embroidery and why we use certain stitches for different areas of a design. Once
you have completed this project you will have gained the confidence to design and stitch your own woodland animal.

Using this embroidery project as a reference, you will learn how to create your own simple woodland animal in Needlepainting embroidery.  This is a level All project so is suitable for beginners and more advanced embroiderers alike.

  1. Enjoy seeing your latest stitching. I remember meeting you many years ago in Cape Town.
    I am still stitching myself

  2. I was attempting to purchase the Masterclass in landscapes and the fawn but can not access it now

  3. Good morning Trish,

I am having no success at the checkout in paying for the two new Woodland Animals Masterclasses.

I keep getting the advice that there is a technical issue and to retry later. ‘Later’ is getting several hours later and still no joy. Are you aware of any problems and is there anything else I can do get this sorted?

    Regards,
    Robyn Wright

  4. Can’t wait to get back to my embroidery Trish. Last year I did the butterfly in the small series. It’s lovely. Too busy with work these days, but I’ll get to it. It calms my soul. I would do every project on this blog if I could!

  5. Thank you Trish. This is yet another move to enable us to hone our skills. Practice makes perfect!

  6. Grazie trish per i bellissimi disegni del bosco! Il bambi sembrerebbe il più tenero ma io ti dirò che la volpe è magnifica! Un abbraccio dall’italiano!
