Hope this finds you well? The year is flying past already can’t believe it is June already!

This week I am pleased to let you know that the Cosmo thread packs are back in stock and there are five new thread packs with co-ordinated colors for you to enjoy. COSMO Embroidery Floss, manufactured in Japan, has a wide assortment of 501 beautiful colors.  They are made from superior quality raw cotton in vivid colors and soft silky textures.  Cosmo is renowned and beloved in Japan and all over the world including North America, Asia, Europe and Australia.

I have been thinking that when I get time I will design some mini projects using these Cosmo colors – what are your thoughts on this?

  4. many times the DMC conversion to Cosmo I have found is not quite the same. The Cosmo colors can be softer and need more definition-I would love it if you would rework some patterns ( birds?} in Cosmo so I could see how you add the definition. I agree, it is beautiful thread. I tried to do the Kingfisher in Cosmo but the punch just wasn’t there

  25. Cosmo floss is nice to work with and has a great array of colors, however it is not as
    accessible as DMC and I believe is a little more expensive. I and probably many others have accumulated all of DMC colors and it would be costly to acquire the entire collection of Cosmos. Of course I could do that gradually as I did DMC, but not sure where in the US to easily get it. The collections you show are beautiful Oh my, more gorgeous floss to get,ha

    1. Hi Sharon. I totally understand that DMC is an old favorite and easily accessible, and of course there is no need for you to start acquiring a whole new collection. Most of my patterns use DMC or if not there is a substitute chart on my site. Although Cosmo is slightly more expensive it is such beautiful quality and joy to use and the colors are quite different to DMC. From a designer point of view I can never have access to enough colors and I am using them more and more in my designs.
