New Book

This week as promised is a sneak preview of the new book Needle Painting Embroidery:  Fresh Ideas For Beginners.  Click on each image for a larger view.

This book includes everything you need to know about long and short stitch embroidery from complete beginner to intermediate stage and is intended as a companion to the DVD.  It begins with information on materials, preparation and stitch techniques and fifteen projects to stitch.  The projects are compiled into three categories:  Level One – beginner with no previous experience, Level Two – moving on from beginner, and Level Three – some experience required.  Each project is accompanied by step by step full colour photos and tips. (Many many trips up and down the stairs!)

The book promises to provide a fresh new approach to the technique of needle painting which will enable you to move onto more advanced projects.

In answer to the much asked question “When will the book be available”.  It is due for release in April 2011, that is all the information I have at present.  I hope to be able to have some initial copies for sale on my website but as they are imported from Australia it may be more feasible for you to purchase online from Amazon or through any of the overseas stockists.  I believe it is available for pre-order on Amazon although not all the details are present and correct at this stage.  As soon as I have the first copy in hand I will post more information.

Have a wonderful week and happy stitching.  Trish

  4. My dear Trish
How wonderful it looks and it will be a very useful referral for the course too! It will hold pride of place on the shelf with your others. Hope all is going well for you and that the ‘live’ course you are doing at present is going well. I think we are all sitting with bated breath awaiting our packages! All the best from a dull overcast Isle of Man.
