O Christmas Tree

Hello everyone

Hope this finds you well? This week I have two things to share with you, the first is my “O, Tannenbaum” project featured on the front cover of Inspirations magazine and the second is an update on the mini journal construction.

Inspirations magazine

As most of you already know, Inspirations is the world’s most beautiful needlework magazine.  It is published in Australia by Inspirations Studios, on beautiful glossy paper and each page is a delight to the senses, choco block full of lovely projects and needlework articles. I have been regularly contributing to Inspirations for more then 20 years and this Christmas tree, O Tannenbaum is my latest design featured in the current issue Merry & Bright, issue No 108.

The design is stitched in DMC cottons in classic shades of blue and white, plus a wee bit of Soie de paris gold to give it some bling!

An embroidery project is only as good as the way it is presented, and the way Inspirations photograph the work and layout the project instructions always makes my heart sing!

If you are not a regular subscriber or can’t get a copy from your local newsagent, don’t worry there are other ways to get hold of this pattern:

  • You can purchase a Kit for this project which includes everything you need to stitch the design. I believe they are currently sold out but more are on the way so you can pre-order it.

Construction of Mini Journal

I did promise this Friday that we would put the final touches to our mini journal but the last two weeks have been a busy time for me and I have not yet had the time to work on it. Please accept my apologies, but this will of necessity be delayed till mid November.

This does not mean that you have to wait, you can go ahead and construct your own journal by following the clear, step by step instructions here, and I will see you mid November to take a look at the final assembly.

Till next time, wherever you are in the world, keep smiling and happy stitching.

Trish

  1. O Tannanbaum is simply stunning. My fingers are itching to start it but it’s going to have to wait. I ust have to finish something before starting another.

  2. Hello, Trish
Thank-you for your time and generosity in sharing your knowledge with us. I look forward to stitch something beautiful with your amazing step by step instructions and I also refer to your long & short stitch embroidery book. very helpful, I’m working on the Fuchsia flower , I love all the colors that you put together and how to shade it properly, it makes the flower come alive.

  4. Super! I am sure I speak for everyone when I say thank you Trish, for your hard work and generously. Take care, wherever you may be.

  5. Trish, I’m more than happy to wait because my left eye is receiving a stent on Friday, so I’ll not be stitching for a few days.
