Hello everyone
Before I started thread painting I was an avid cross stitcher. In 2002 my publishers decided to publish a book of my African cross stitch designs and the book was called The African Cross Stitch Collection. This book has now gone out of print, but as I looked at some of the patterns it seemed a shame for them to be lost forever, so I decided to make a compilation of the best patterns and it is now available for purchase as a PDF download. There are 80 pages and 18 patterns so there is lots to choose from and each pattern is accompanied by a little African Folk tale which explains the meaning behind the design.

Stitches for Africa Cross stitch
The patterns in the book are vibrant, bright and fun. They consist of a multitude of different African animals and themes and can be made up into greeting cards, bookmarks, pin cushions, spec cases, samplers, and so much more – the instructions are all included as are the instructions for cross stitch, materials etc. You don’t need to have any previous experience with cross stitch it is easy, but if you are already a cross stitcher you are sure to love these happy designs.

It would also make a lovely Christmas gift for a friend who is a cross stitcher. If purchasing a gift card you will receive an email link and can then forward to your friend, or you can simply send the order confirmation to your friend with the link to download the pattern.

Closing for Christmas
I will be closing the shop on 10th December 2023 and re-opening on 10th January 2024. My daughters are coming out from the UK for Christmas and I am looking forward to spending time with them.
Till next time, wherever you are in the world, keep smiling and happy stitching.
Trish

Disappointed that the PDF is not available anymore. But I understand why. Hope this will come back eventually.
